Hello, I just stumbled onto your web page today. Who are you? Do you live in Center Point? I grew up here and moved away for a while (Air Force) I have been back for 7 years. I own 2 homes here. I live in one my mom lives in the other. I am concerned about the crime in the area. If they can spend so much on the pretty stuff why can't they hire more police, so we can be safe while enjoying the pretty stuff (parks, sidewalks). The marquee outside city hall says CENTER POINT TOP 10 CITY TO RETIRE TO says who? Where did they get these stats?
 
Anyway thanks for the info on your web page. I am planning on moving from this area in a few years. I don't want to be like the little old ladies in East Lake afraid to go out in their yards, and it is my opinion that is where Center Point is heading.
 

  Let me apologize for the late recognition and response.  The "stats" you are referring to are from U.S. News and World Report. I live in Center Point.

Just wanting to know why there are so many empty business in Center Point?  Another question. Why is the chamber of commerce building only open 4 hours a day?  I would shop in cp but there are not enough stores. Your web site is interesting but you need to make it more current.  thank you.

  Good questions "teacher."  At the 12 January, 2012 City Council meeting, Mayor Henderson declared this year as the year he's concentrating on business growth in Center Point.  I'm trying to get a copy of the Mayor's "State of the City" address to the Chamber of Commerce.  From what I've heard, it sounds really interesting.

  Are you going to run for a city office this year?  I am sure all your readers would like to know who you are and be able to ask you questions.

  I haven't made up my mind about City Councilman.  I like the way Mayor Henderson has set out this year and he has started some good projects for the city (and some like the Patterson House that I believe is a waste of money).  Thanks for the concern and tell all your neighbors about this site.  Anyone can ask me questions by clicking on the link at the tops of this page and sounding off!  Be careful though ... you may end up here.
